People yearn to understand the Bible, but many find it difficult to grasp. The Bible was written by a specific people group, in a particular culture, in a distinct language, in a different era. If we understand this culture in its historical context, the Bible comes alive in a way we have never experienced before. The Hebrew Bible Institute makes it easy to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible through educational programs for both Adventists and Jews. We provide a range of resources aimed at helping Christians and their local churches share their faith with Jewish individuals, while expanding their own understanding regarding the Hebrew roots of the Bible. We truly believe that having this context brings clarity—enriching their understanding God’s truth and equipping them to share the gospel with others.

The Hebrew Bible Institute is affiliated with the North American Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Our founders, Alexander Bolotnikov and Rachel Hyman, were raised in Jewish families and became Christians as adults. They continue to celebrate their Jewish roots, and they are excited about helping Christians share their faith with Jewish individuals.

Our President, Alexander, (Also known to most as "Sasha"), is an Adventist pastor and Bible scholar, affiliated with Andrews University. He teaches courses on the History of Jewish Experience and Rabbinic Literature and he has helped to plant many churches. He is the author of many video documentaries and books. Our Director of Program Development, Rachel Hyman, is a graduate of Mission College of Evangelism and has a passion for helping church members understand the Jewish people better. She has hosted cultural outreach programs for 15 years in Adventist churches and served in evangelistic and community outreach roles across North America and in Europe. Rachel was co-host of the popular 3ABN program Back to Our Roots, which focused on sharing about the Jewish culture with Christian audiences.
